My first time speaking at a business networking event was in 2013, it was a group of four individuals. My face was flushed, I was shaking, and my mouth was dry. I wanted out of there and left I did! I operated a tutoring business at the time and it was spiraling. With nerves, I hired a business coach in early-2014 who suggested I go to his networking group where 30 individuals spoke every week. I smiled and told him it was out of the question as I didn't speak in front of others. He prompted a little more and, with reluctance, I went as his guest. I entered the room and immediately fear gripped me. I had been bullied and oppressed for so long plus my anxious saboteurs were circling in. I delivered an abysmal 60-second presentation and I thought this group would ask me not to return. Instead, a senior member of the group pulled me aside and provided some words of wisdom on how to improve for next time. For next time, that was key.

Sometimes it takes one point of connection to begin your journey away from self-sabotage, self-doubt, and movement toward your true speaking potential. 

With time, I became a member of this group; joined their leadership team, and my business skills grew. Connections fostered and blossomed. My tutoring business also excelled from a low-5-figure tutoring business to a 6-figure tutoring business.

In time, a passion for helping other entrepreneurs overcome their public speaking blocks became my primary focus. To see clients go from uncertain speakers to commanding the room with confident energy and openness is a moment of great joy and pride.

Today, I am a TEDx speaker, keynote presenter, and consultant who champions entrepreneurs to overcome their mindset barriers and achieve their utmost business potential.
